The Fields & Farms Tour invites you to slow down, wander country roads, meet the people behind the barns and blooms, and discover the farms that help shape our community. From flowers and fresh produce to alpacas, horses, horticulture, and hands-on experiences, every stop offers a chance to learn something new, make a memory, and connect with the land in a meaningful way.
This isn’t just a farm tour — it’s a choose-your-own adventure through Hanover County’s fields, fences, greenhouses, and gathering places. Meet farmers with dirt on their boots and passion in their hearts. Pick up fresh flowers and produce, hear stories passed down through generations, snap photos with fluffy friends, and experience the beauty of agriculture up close.
Some farms open their gates to the public only once a year for this event, making the tour a rare opportunity to step behind the scenes and experience rural life firsthand. Whether you're a lifelong local, a curious kid, a gardener, foodie, animal lover, or simply looking for a fresh-air kind of day, there’s something waiting for you down every gravel road.
The Fields & Farms Tour celebrates the people who grow, raise, create, teach, and steward the land that keeps Hanover thriving. It’s about community, curiosity, sustainability, and the joy of discovering what’s growing right here at home. It shines a light on local agriculture while encouraging appreciation for rural communities, small businesses, and authentic experiences.
